Eyeblink is also known as Fluxfilm No. 9 or Fluxfilm No. 15.This experimental work is a cornerstone of Ono’s early conceptual art.
Concept:
It consists of a 35-second shot of Yoko Ono’s eye as she blinks. Technique: Filmed with a high-speed camera at 2,000 frames per second and projected at a standard 24 frames per second, creating an extreme slow-motion effect. Meaning: The piece aims to slow down perception and transform a trivial, everyday action into a meditative, artistic event.
