The Chambers Brothers
TheChambers Brothers
A powerhouse of 1960s rock and soul, The Chambers Brothers are best known for their massive 11-minute psychedelic soul anthem, "Time Has Come Today." They were pioneers who bridged the gap between gospel roots and the acid rock scene of San Francisco.
Their transition into rock was significant because they were one of the few African American bands at the time fully integrated into the "counterculture" movement, sharing stages with acts like The Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane..
