Angela Y. Davis (1944– ) is a scholar, author, activist, and black feminist philosopher. She is a founding member of Critical Resistance, an organization dedicated to the abolition of the prison industrial system.
Davis is widely known for her quote: "I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept". Her work consistently bridges Marxism, feminism, and anti-racism, advocating for a fundamental "re-imagining" of how the world is organized.
